7 Bookish Podcast Recommendations

Updated: Apr 27, 2023

In 2021 I really got into podcasts and found quite a variety of different podcasts, so I thought why not make a post about it. Who knows? Maybe this will be one of many parts since there are so many podcasts out there today. If you follow me on Instagram (link here), you would have noticed I sometimes show recommendations on my story. This will be a more in-depth post. Some podcasts have ended, but their content is still relevant to readers and listeners alike.

ADVENTURES IN YA

A podcast to fill all your young adult fiction needs! These ladies dive into what they have been reading, excited to read and mention a lot of other books relevant to that episode. They mention all books in the description / notes for later access.

BOOK RIOT - THE PODCAST

If you’re not following Book Riot on social media or explored their website, then what are you doing? When I need book recommendations, I always go to book riot to see what they recommend. As you may have guessed, they select many books from many genres. The podcast does the same, while focusing on a certain topic, theme or genre.

CURRENTLY READING

Similar to Adventures in YA but not restricted to one genre, this podcast is lengthy in episode but fills you with enough recommendations to get you through before the next episode!

FOR REAL

Another podcast by Book Riot, but this is for those who like a bit of non-fiction now and then. This podcast explores non-fiction titles (old and new) and the inspiration, themes, messages behind them.

LOVE YA LIKE CRAZY

If you are looking for an unfiltered podcast filled with humor while dishing out about the best and worst young adult books, then this is the podcast for you. It’s quite long, but with all the talking, ranting and banter, time flies.

MARLON AND JAKE READ DEAD PEOPLE

A podcast for those readers and listeners who are interested in authors who are no longer with us. Discover new, old, loved and hated authors of the century with these two guys recommending books!

ONE GREAT BOOK

This podcast feels a bit more personal with its recommendations and how the host dives into the book and reasons you should read it!

There are so many more podcasts I could recommend from so many other topics, so this will be the first of many podcast recommendation posts to come! Have any of the above caught your interest or have you listened to before?
